Long before I learned about the Law of Attraction, I used to tell people that ‘if I don’t see myself in it, I won’t have it.’ At that time, I didn’t know that this was what visualization is all about. If you watched the movie “The Secret” it teaches that for visualization to work successfully you should be able to know the art of putting yourself in the situation both physically and mentally that it seems you are actually there.
I made the power of visualization as my 9th secret code because it is one of the most important tools in manifesting my desires since this will attract similar vibrations and since I have consistently used it, it manifest into a series of circumstances, people, events, an inspired action that lead me to actually be in the situation I was visualizing. Many people don’t believe this to be true not only because there is no scientific basis but because they need to take the action needed in order to allow them to have the experience. I don’t need to convince you how true it is but any logical person will believe me that if they constantly focus on a particular goal or situation, it will result to something positive.
I was particularly amazed at one of the most incredible medical discoveries I was watching yesterday but what amazed me most is the experience of a pregnant patient who uses the power of visualization to heal herself and her baby. Let’s call her Stephanie, not her real name, of course. When Stephanie was around 20 weeks pregnant with her baby she went to see the doctor to have ameosynthesis test to check the fetus for genetic abnormalities. This test involves inserting a needle into a fluid filled sac that surrounds the fetus. Normally, the hole in the membrane heals quickly but not in Stephanie’s case. After the ultrasound was made they found out that the fluid in the sac that surrounds that baby during pregnancy leaked out and without it the baby’s lungs would never develop. Most doctors would recommend at this stage termination of pregnancy.
Stephanie refused to take the advice and was so adamant that there should be another way. She said she had even visualized celebrating her son’s first birthday so how could this happen. She found it outrageous that her doctor’s can’t do anything to help until her friends heard of a doctor at New York University Center who at that time was doing an experimental procedure to repair ruptured membrane. The doctor wasn’t sure if that was going to work but this is the only chance she got. The doctor had a special glue made up from a protein found in the skin along with platelets necessary for blood clotting this way he would be able to recreate would healing process to seal the membrane rupture. The procedure was a success, the leaking stopped, and the amount of fluid in the sac returned to normal.
You see, through the power of visualization this patient was attracted to situations and circumstances that lead her to meet the doctor who pioneered the groundbreaking procedure in repairing ruptured membrane. You can change your present circumstance if you start practicing the art of visualization but before that, you have to decide what it is that you really want so that you can focus on it and keep you from being distracted.
